Energy Consumption

In January, 2010, the Bainbridge Public Library (BPL) Board of Directors requested an energy consumption audit for both the Bainbridge Library Building as well as the Ihland Way Building which is also owned by BPL.

After the audit, a report was compiled by Puget Sound Energy (PSE). While there are always opportunities for further improvement, the summary page is good news for the Library and shows BPL's success in meeting community goals for sustainability. According to the report, the Library facility already uses 50% less energy than similar facilities in the PSE area of service.
