During this past Labor Day weekend, our Bainbridge Library got new carpeting throughout the facility and a new laptop bar along the North wall. Funding was mainly from donations from the community who have supported the library facility in this way since its beginning in 1962. To read an article about the "facelift", click here....

The Bainbridge Public Library is seeking archival materials to visually represent the library's 50 year history on the island. Photos, articles, documents, and memorabilia -- old and more recent -- will be digitally archived, used throughout the anniversary year, and saved for posterity. Please dig out anything and everything you might have saved over the years, and let us know. A team of volunteers will digitally capture your items and document the information you can share about them -- no need to part with your precious items to share them with the community.
