Russell Johnson is best
known for playing the role of professor on 'Gilligan's Island'. After his
successful movie career Johnson decided to settle on Bainbridge Island.
He explained that living on an island had become an old habit for him.
Prior to his passing in 2014 Johnson and co-author Steve Cox wrote Here on Gilligan's Isle (1993).
The book is a reflection of Johnson's life as the professor and offers
fans of the TV series many behind-the-scenes anecdotes, stories about fellow
cast-aways, and an answer to the often asked question: how was the professor
