Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers Needed!

Did you know Bainbridge Island community volunteers help keep your library in its superb running condition? You've seen the "Friday Tidies" gardeners maintaining the beautiful library grounds - they are all volunteers! And there are many more ways you can get involved:

• Assist library users with the computers
• Help with communications such as promotions or fundraising
• "Adopt a Shelf" - keep a shelf or favorite section tidy
• Join the Friends of the Library workers to sort and sell books
• Check out the many youth volunteer programs
• Help with the 4th of July Children's Fair

Here's a link to a July, 2010 article in the Kitsap Sun about the Friday Tidies needing more volunteers

For more information about any of the above opportunities, or questions about additional volunteer positions, please contact Audrey Barbakoff (our volunteer coordinator) at 842-4162 or .  Whether you're interested in helping on a regular basis, or for a one-time event, Audrey will help you get settled into the library.

Send us your name today by using the "Contact Us" form on this website and Audrey will contact you soon.  We treasure our volunteers as Bainbridge Island treasures the library.
